Taking Care of Your Jewelry
Keep Your Jewellery Looking Beautiful
In order to keep the best quality and colour of your jewellery, it is advisable to avoid contact with water, creams, perfumes, make-up, chemicals and perspiration. Be careful not to drop them on the floor or knock them against hard surfaces.
Ensure that you clean your jewellery lightly, we recommend the use of a very thin and soft brush (for example, make-up) and soapy water. Add a small amount of mild soap to sighltly warm water, brush gently, then rinse it with plenty of water, dry very well with a very dry, clean and soft cloth so it doesn’t scratch the jewel. Dry well is important to avoid water stains.
The same advice and procedures apply for oxidized or gold / silver jewellery.
Take special care if your jewellery has stones, pearls, artificial pearls and stones, Japanese lacquer, acrylics, resins, leather and textile. In this cases don't put it in water as this may damage or discolour. Instead use a very soft clean, dry antistatic cloth. If dirt has built up, gently wipe it with a clean microfibre cotton cloth that has been dampened in warm soapy water then pat it dry with a clean, dry cloth. For resins, lacquer and leather to finish use a small amount of bee wax to shine up the colours and again pat it dry with a clean dry cloth.
Oxidized jewels, with the normal wear will lose the patina becoming clearer or returning to its original colour – this is normal, not a defect. if you dislike contact us by email and we will do the maintenance of your jewel, excluding taxes, shipping and responsibility of shipping.
To preserve your jewellery and keep it beautiful, we advise you to store it individually in a secure and airtight, away from light.
